Hi

Please guide me relevent links or guide or suggestion for uninstalling only Java stack from a Dual stack ABAP + JAVA system nw2004s

The way to uninstall java is already provided in message

I dont think it would be possible to uninstall only JAVA stack.

It is possible even we have the SAP document where its mention how to uninstall Java only part but the step are not clear and i want if some one has done it earlier to escape from any unforseen error

Hi

Its there in every installation guide in section uninstalling sap there u get the section uninstalling java part

the particular guide we are following is named inst_solman_40_sr4_hpx_ora.pdf

Deleting the Java Part of SAP System

Broad Steps

I Take the Backup of Profile Directory/ J2ee / SDM / SCS

II Delete the Java part of an SAP system

III Delete the central services instance

IV Delete the Java Database schema of Oracle installation

BACK Up Plan : Restore the Files / DB

Stop the central services instance and all dialog instances of SAP System

a) Log on to corresponding instance host with <sid>adm

b) stopsap r3 <SCSInstance Number>

Stop J2EE engine of central instance if its already running

In DEFAULT.PFL file delete the following lines

j2ee/dbname

j2ee/dbtype

j2ee/dbhost

j2ee/dbadminurl

j2ee/scs/host

j2ee/scs/system

j2ee/ms/port

From Instance Profile (<SAPSID>_<INSTANCE>_<HOST>) delete the following entry

exe/j2ee

exe/jlaunch

rdisp/j2ee_start_control

rdisp/j2ee_start

rdisp/j2ee_timeout

rdisp/j2ee_libpath

rdisp/frfc_fallback

jstartup/trimming_properties

jstartup/instance_properties

jstartup/protocol

jstartup/vm/home

jstartup/max_caches

jstartup/release

j2ee/dbdriver

Delete the central services instance

Remove the central (SCS) instance profile files, Central Service Directory SCS, j2ee, SDM directory

I have tried the given process and its working for me. I dont have any error trace in my system.
