Hello All,
Does the SAP Supplied work center roles have the access Create/Change/Display supplied by default or shall we need to assign the access based on the project need. My doubt regarding this arised for the need that a particular user should have the ability to Create/Change/Display a particular Transaction ( Let's say CRMD_ORDER ) for a Work Center Change Mangement and for another Transaction which happens to be in the same work center but here the user should be restricted to just have Display access to that transaction.
Can some one throw some light in this regard and how to solve such a scenario.
Thanks & Regards,
Srujan
Hi Srujan,
The answer is "Yes" because Workcenters are role-based.
1. If a user belongs service desk, then the user will have workcenter role of SAP_SMWORK_INCIDENT_MAN.
1.1 If the user is a DEVELOPER, then the user should have developer role of SAP_SOCM_DEVELOPER. Now you need to copy this role and explicitly restrict the authorizations for which the user should have authorizations either create or change or only display.
2. If a user belongs ChaRM, then the user will have workcenter role of SAP_SMWORK_CHANGE_MAN.
2.1 1 If the user is a CHANGE MANAGER, then the user should have change manager role of SAP_SOCM_CHANGE_MANAGER. Now you need to copy this role and explicitly restrict the authorizations for which the user should have authorizations either create or change or only display.
Or
You can copy and customize the workcenter roles SAP_SMWORK_INCIDENT_MAN or SAP_SMWORK_CHANGE_MAN itself, if all the users under the workcenter has same authorization for a transaction.
