Dear Experts,
We have around 12Tb of the oracle database on HP UX. We are planning to replicate the same to other hp ux machine with system copy option. After restoration we need to change client ID 900 to 200. With this much big database i can not perform local client copy and delete the 900.what will be the other option to rename the existing 900 client to 200.

Hi everyone,
Does anybody found a way to rename client number to other without doing the process of local client copy and then deletion of client?

Hi Franklin,
for the moment there exists no supported way to "change" the client number without client copy.
Perhaps it helps to read the following:

Hi,
As per your query you can not apply as you mentioned. You can copy all the existing seting and run your server smoothly.

I don't think there is any other option.

You can change the client number during the Client copy, but in this case it is not possible. You have only one option to go with System copy and on that case i dont think it is possible
