Project System Configuration

Hi All,

I am new to Project System.

1. Can any tell me what is Project, WBS Element, Network and Activity....

2. Please tell me step by step configuration of PS module.

3. Please tell me the flow of how it is working in SAP?

4. How it will integrated with other modules?

All these questions cannot be answered in such a small space....Suggest you to go throught the link,

click on SAP ERP Central Component and access Project System from either Accounting or Logistics node. You will get a lot of information from this alone.

Hi Mohan,

  Have you done creating the project in cj20n? For me it is getting created but resulting with some errors and am not able to release it, can you pls explain me how did you do that?

Hi,

1) Project Structuring - CJ20N - Create Proj Defn, WBS Element, Network, Activities etc.

2) Cost Planning - CJ40 - Cost Planning for WBS Elements

3) Budgeting - CJ30 (Budget Allocation) , CJ32 (Budget Release)

4) Project Execution - Creation of PR through network or Manual creation of PR through ME51N

then Create PO - ME21N

Goods Receipt - MIGO

Goods Issue - MB1A

Service Entry Sheet - ML81N (For service used in Projects)

5) Updating Project Progress - Activity Confirmation - CN25 (Updating Internal labour cost)

6) Peroid End closing.- Project Settlement - CJ88 - Individual Processing

CJ8G - Collective Processing

7) Reporting in Project Information System - SAP1 & SAP2 these two transaction will show all reports avail in PS by clicking on Project System node.

This is the normal or simplest ps business process flow with transaction codes.
