Hello all,
We have a View with a FileDownload link in it (allowSave behaviour).
When we click on this link : an IE window appears and then we have a standard IE Popup in it asking us if we want to save or directly open our document.
If we choose "Open" or " Download", the document opens as wanted, but the IE window with url :
http://<server>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/<Webdynpro_application>/~wd_key2_1242116894790/<Excel_fi...gKO8pIkJscJkCS95LiR7UA%2F<pcd_link>&sap-wd-norefresh=X&sap-ep-version=7.00.200802160835
Does not automatically closes itself.
Is there a way to force this window to close when we choose Open or Download ?
Hi Romain,
As far as I see this is the functionality of the browser and your application has nothing to do with it. As per my understanding for download your are using one of the follwoing:
1 WebDynpro UI linktoURL
2 WebDynpro UI FileDownload
3 Opening an external window for download
In the first two cases you can set the Target property to _self and it should work fine. For further details kindly refer to the thread below:
but when I tried doing it, the application's behavior was found unchanged. And on further investigating I found in SAP documentation that this property is no longer supported. For this please refer to the link below:
As per my understanding this is the browser's functionality and it works well in IE 7 and we do not have much control over it from the application.
Hope this helps you Kindly post your feedback,
Regards,
Gaurav
