SQL2000 SP4 can't install in AMD CPU?

Dears:

I am building up the CRM4 testing environment in my own pc, which has AMD cpu with triple-core processors. So now my problem is i can install SQL2000 successfully,but when the SAP sript continute to install SP4,then the installation step seems hang there. After waiting for a long time, there is an error popup said the max waiting time reach, then stop. I try to change the CPU processors number to 2 processors, 1 processor in

the windows 2003 system, but all fail, the same error.

I try to use the same installation files in another server with intel cpu, the SP4 can install successfully.

So if the AMD CPU can't install SQL 2000 SP4?

Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Editon 32 bit

This shouldn't be a problem then.

Check

- if the SQL server is started completely

- if you get any error messages in the event log

I suggest to use SQL Server 2005 instead.

Are you using a 32 or 64bit operating system?
