Hi,
In MM customizing some error messages may be changed to warning messages so I need to know what are the default error messages provided by SAP for PO and GR and IR process .can any one explain how to find this?

Hi,
You have to select acording to your clients requirement which type of messege you have to set as warning / error / no message.
Also setting the warning / error / no message means the systems should not allow the user to proceed in that perticular transaction without the sufficient information.
Hope it help.
Regards.

spro>>MM>>purchasing>>Environment Data>>Define Attributes of System Messages
click on Systems message, Inside that check for application area ( 06 for purchase documents)
here you can make a message as E (erro) or W ( warning ) as required by you.
suggest that you can make a W as E but making is error message as warning please consider your business requirement whether really required.

For Inventory messages:
you can check OMCQ
for purchasing messages
SPRO - Materials management - Purchasing - environment data - Define attribute of the system messages
For MIRO messages
SPRO - Materials management - Logistics invoice verification - define attribute of system messages.
over there you can view the messages with warning nd error.

Use OMT4 for material master message sttings
Use OMCQ for Inventory Related Messages settings
Use IMG->MM->Purchasing->Environment data->Define Attributes of System Messages--->System messages for purchasing messages settings
if you wish to activate any meaasge then use either W( warning) or E (Error) , of you wish to change the messge from W(warning) , then change it to E(error) . Similarly wish to remove any message just leave the filed blank, add a new message , use New entries and select the reqd. message from the available list and set it to either W or E.

which messages are changed from W to error or from error to warning can only be known through basis team if they open the system LOGs. through log you can see who change and what are the changes, but if your LOG system is opened then you can know that other wise there is no way to see that.
