about dialog instance

Hi Friends

If more than one dialog instance can be installed in a computer?

I have installed a sap system(abap stack), central instance and dialog instance are in the same server. the dialog instance has started up, but I can't see the dialog instance through SM51. If some configuration is missing?

Hello,

In SM51 you can only the instance in which you are logged in.

But in RZ03 you can see all the instance of the system.You can start and stop the instances from Rz03.

Check through RZ03 if you can see the other instance

Also try to login in that dialog instance from your SAP gui and let us know if you can login

through RZ03, a message appears: no operation mode scheduled for the present time. after I click "continue", I can see the dialog instance ,the status is "Not active". I don't know how to logon the dialog instance in sapgui, could you give me some guide?

In RZ03,click on that instance and at the top you will get the options for starting it

just start it and see if you can make it active,ignore that operation modes message

Also for loggin in that instance,you have to make an entry for it in SAPGUI

make a new entry and give instance no as the number of dialog instance,save it and logon

In RZ03, the Active op.mode is DUMMY.

there isn't any response after I click the two instance.

Check whether service sapdp10 is correctly assigned to port 3210 in services file. (you will find it in <Drive>\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\)

what is saps01 host here. why pointing to sapgw30?

can you post the exact details of host name, system no# for both CI, DI?
