I am trying to post unplanned depreciation through transaction code ABAA with 640 as transaction type.

the following error is dipalyed and not allowing us to post depreciation to any asset.

Error:

Transaction in area 01contradics the net book value rule" (AA660).

Check that the asset on which you are calculating depreciation has not become negative or zero. Also check if changing the indicator for positive or zero values allowed to negative values removes this error in definition of depreciation area in SPRO-Asset accounting-Valuation-Depreciation areas-Define depn areas
