Sales Order - Account Assignment

Hi Gurus, I am wondering the process which the item data - account assignment tab of a sales order is populated? What is the determination of these fields in specific bus. area, cost center, order, profit segment? Where in IMG are these setup?

How is order determined in the internal order setup? Where can I see in IMG?

Hello,

The account assignment tab is populated for various data as follows

1) profit center is populated from material master plant/ sales tab

2) cost center is assigned to the profit center- it can also be done mnaully in the field if a different cost center is required

3) order is populated if a Interal order is set up and being used. the configuration is done in FI

4) Business Area is again populated based on the business area . assignment and configuration is done in enterprise structure

This happens where Controlling is activate at Order level i.e Product Costing by Order may activated.

for Account Assignment -

Goto Tcode:VKOA, with Cond type:KOFK ( Controlling),-

if system gives message as G/L account, check the analysis- maintain the cond record in VKOA accordingly.

or else,better would be consult your FI/CO Consultant.
