Using a different SLD - 2 users?

We have installed the NWDI using the SLD from an XI installed on a different server. The Development Configuration will now be imported from that SLD. Does this mean that I need two equivalent users (same User + PW) for Developing, one for the SLD (at the XI system) and one for the NWDI?

Hi Florian

I think so too u will need users created in both systems, additionally the users within the SLD system should be given access to the component sap.com/com.sap.lcr*sld with security role LcrInstanceWriterNR

(Try assigning same passwords also)

Hi Florian,

You should have users on both SLD(XI) and NWDI. User Id and password of that user should be same on both the system.

On SLD system you should have role LcrInstanceWriterNR of software component sap.com/com.sap.lcr*sld

On NWDI server (where your CMD,CBS,DTR are installed) that user should be in the group JDI.Developer.

This JDI.Developer user group has to be created in the Visual Administrator of the NWDI server.

Bye. Best of luck

Groups are created in the User Management application of the WebAS, not in the Visual Admin. Just go to http://<hostname>:<port>; and click on User Management.
