Cost revenue rate validity

Hi ,

While calculating the planned rate the system select cost / revenue rate 90 not 87.

The task of second phase start from 04.05.2009 to. 25.05.2009

So System should select cost / revenue rate 90 for the period 04.05.2009. to 05.05.2009

& from 06.05.2009 to. 25.05.2009 cost / revenue rate will be 87.

The cost / revenue rate we have maintained as follows

Cost / revenue rate is 90 01.11.2000 05.05.2009

Cost / revenue rate is 87 06.05.2009 31.12.2010

Please guide me how system will calculate cost rate

Regards

Ravindra

Hi,

Please check the cost/revenue rate maintained for BP.

If the rate is maintained there, then it will override the cost/revenue rate maintained for the role.

Hi ,

As we are using task-based controlling scenario,i understood diffreance

If role based cost calculation is used and the role has

distribution function, the efforts of role is splitted into multiple

perriods and can be eveluated for each period using different rate.

In case you are using task-based, and the behavior is not same as role-based.

The project is Role-based controlling, then the whole duration will be splitted into multiple periods.

Task-based controlling: If specified a cost/revenue rate in customizing for the task type

(Define Task Types), this cost/revenue rate is used for costing. If a role is assigned to the task (via tab 'Roles' for a task or tab 'Tasks' in the resource view), the cost/revenue rate of this role is used

(note: staffing a role with a resource does not influence costing in the task-based controlling).
