updation of standard price

User has updated wrong standard price at the time of extending accounting veiw of a Material. And there are no transactions occured for this material till now. Is it ok to update correct cost in material master through transaction code MR21? Is there any repercussion of using MR21.

Hi,

If no transaction will be done for that material means.You can change the price of the material in MR21.

When you do MR21 for the material when there is no initial stock or any stock then it wont generate any accounting document.you can change.

If there is stock in Material & no transaction then you should do

Go to CKMM transaction & change for the price determination 3 to 2 & new price type as S & now make the changes in CK40N & after run cost run.Then do the CKMM & change from 2 to 3 for price determination.

Thanks for ur reply. There is no posting to this materials. So i think as u said it is situation as per ur reply and no need of CKMM. Is my understanding correct?

Hi,

If there is no posting happen for that material,you can do the MR21 to update the price of the material.

No need of CKMM ,

if you do MR21 the system will not generate any accounting document.
