Hi gurus.

...for table EKPO I need a new index. What is the worst case scenario for importing a new index to a production system ? Is there any risk for problems....? Can the table end up as inactive ?

Please advice.

Hi,

The worst case scenario will be if the database statistics are not refreshed by the BASIS guys then the indices will not be picked up properly and eventually slowing down the reads on EKPO table of all the relevant programs.

Kindly ask the BASIS guys to refresh the database statistics once the new index has been moved to production system.
