Redlining in SAP DMS:
You can use the ECL viewer to create redlining files for 2D or 3D originals. In
this way changes are not made to the original itself. The redlining information
is stored separately in additional files. This feature can only be used if you
use the KPro to check in originals. As well as storing texts, graphics, and
measurements, you can also measure angles and radii for 2D originals. The ECL
viewer also enables you to load and compare other originals. Sectioning gives
you a cross-section of the original.
To activate redlining option
It has to be done with the 2D viewer (EAIWeb.webviewer2D.1 %SAP-CONTROL%) to do redlining
so you cannot use %auto% or inplace or outplace.
Microsoft office integration:
You can use the Microsoft Office integration to create, change, or display originals
with Microsoft Office applications (such as Word or Excel) in the document info
record.
Displaying and changing can be conducted both inplace and outplace. In both
cases you retain the integration to the document info record. If you edit the
original application file with MS Office integration, then you can copy the master
data for the document into the original application file.
Note : There is no redlining in word or excel.
