How to know if a document is read-only

I'm working with Interactive Forms, on Java Web Dynpro, and i'm using the same screen to display generated and saved forms.

When displaying saved forms, (saved as files that is), the mode that I use is usePDF, and in this mode the document doesn't receive any data from the context.

When I'm displaying saved forms, I somtimes need then to de displayed as read-only, and somtimes editable.

My problem is that I need to know from within the document how it's displayed, if it's read-only or editable, without getting any data from the context.

I tried to view the fields' 'access' property, but in both modes it 'Open'.

How can I know from within the document, using JavaScript, in what mode the document is displayed?

Best regards,
