Question : Request to please explain how to use the Scale Type - C and D?

Condition Tyoe PR00

In control Data 2 - Scales

Scale Type : Blank - can be maintained in condition record

A - Base scale

B - To-scale

C - Not used

D - Guaranted-to interval scale

Following discription available by pressing F1

Scale Type

Indicator that controls the validity of the scale value or percentage:

o From a certain quantity or value (base scale)

o Up to a certain quantity or value (to-scale)

Alternatively, it is possible to work with interval scales. Interval scales must be stored in the condition type, that is, the scale type "interval scale" cannot be changed in the condition record. The reason for this is technical restrictions resulting from the programming within pricing.

Hi Ashish

C - Not used

It is not used

So Dont bother about that

I also dont know where C is put into use

D - Guaranted-to interval scale

This means say a material pen pricing scales are defined like this

1 to 10 units then price is 15 $s

11 to 20 units then price is 14 $s

21 to 30 units then price is 13 $s

31 to 40 units then price is 12 $s

41 to 50 units then price is 11 $s as qty is bought more the rate is also reduced accordingly

Now if a sales order comes for 41 units then with D - Guaranted-to interval scale

The calculation will be

First 10 units price is 15 $s so the total is 10 x 15 $ = 150 $s

Next 10 units price is 14 $s so the total is 10 x 14 $ = 140 $s

Next 10 units price is 13 $s so the total is 10 x 13 $ = 130 $s

Next 10 units price is 12 $s so the total is 10 x 12 $ = 120 $s

Next one unit price is 11 $s so the total is 1 x 11 $ = 11 $s

so the total value is 150 +140 + 130 + 120 +11 = 551 $ s for 41 units

This is the effect of D - Guaranted-to interval scale

Now if a sales order comes for 22 units then with D - Guaranted-to interval scale

The calculation will be

First 10 units price is 15 $s so the total is 10 x 15 $ = 150 $s

Next 10 units price is 14 $s so the total is 10 x 14 $ = 140 $s

Next 2 units price is 13 $s so the total is 2 x 13 $ = 26 $s

So the total price for 22 units will be 150 + 140 + 26 = 316 dollars

This is the effect of D - Guaranted-to interval scale

Hi,

Wanted your expertise, as we are trying to implement scale for a pricing condition as below. Please advise which scale type to be used I think we should use D as interval graduated scale, but my query is my width value stored in material master and once order read it should pick the price as per interval . Need to know when i select type D it should not do graduation in same sales order for other lines. I mean if order has two line item with same material and third line with different material. system should calculate first line price 0.09 and second line should also pick price 0.09 as width is within 0 to 1

third material should price 0.13

please advise how this is posible because i think gradutaion type adds previous line record value, which we don't want.

Mat 1 - 0.7 in

Ma t2 - 0.9 in

Mat 3 - 2.5 in

0.000 - 1.000 in 0.090

1.010 - 2.000 in 0.110

2.010 - 3.000 in 0.130

3.010 - 4.000 in 0.140

4.010 - 5.000 in 0.150

5.010 - 6.000 in 0.160

> 6.010 in 0.200

thanks
