hi there

Some examples

1. Lookup table country has both code and Description as Display fields and in the source file we have say only code. For import to work you need to add description also in the source file, concatenate OR use remote keys,OR partition.

2. Sales Org qualified table has 2 NQs: Sales Organisation and Distribution channel. For importing qualifers we need to create a compound key ( Sales org+ Distribution Channel) which becomes primary unique key before importing the values.

Thanks

Hi,

Sometimes, you have a value in the source which is actually mutli valued separated by a delimiter. Suppose for ex ( A;B).

Hence, it all depends whether you want to get the values from a single source field in 2 different destination fields in MDM or not.

If yes, then simply split the delimiter and mention ; in this case. And then split into Multiple Fields. This would split the field with A and B as 2 separate source fields with one having value as A and the other as B. Then you can map it to 2 different destination Fields which will then get the corresponding values.

Sometimes, you can have a multi-valued look-up in the destination and then you can map the Single source field directly to the Multivalued Look-up in the destination.

Hope this info helps.

Thanks and Regards

Hi SDN Powered

All of MDM applications has single principle vizualization point of menu.

For example: if you need import data to multi-valued field you get acces to approptiate point of menu(it stay "active") in other case that point of menu stay "passive"
