Setup Requirement for Webservices

Hi,

My knowledge of ABAP is strong, but regarding all new termology / tech. weak...

i have an RFC which i want to convert to Webservice, the client says they have ECC 6.00, but they do not have EP, XI or NWDS, in short they have just the basic ECC 6.00, i do not have access to their system as yet ... also their knowlege on websevices is not very good.

1) Can i use just the ECC 6.00 or may be SAP 4.7 to set up the webservices, does it require

2) is the ICF / ICM already set up by SAP or is it done by the BASIS or does it come under ABAP

3) i have read most of the the articles on Webservices, setting up etc etc etc , but still a bit confused ..before sending me links pls keep this in mind.

regards

Santosh

Yes, a standalone ECC 6.00 is able to publish webservices

When you install a new ECC 6 system, you have to configure the ICM and ICF.

Check the SDN blogs on the subject and help.sap.com, all is explained...
