SAP server backup and restore

Hi,

I searched for this but was unable to find the right info.

SAP ECC 5.0 runing on SQL2005 W2K3, I tried to recover a server from a System State Backup, <usr/sap> folder backup and a full sql2005 <DBS> backup. All goes fine in the restore proceses but when try to start the SAP server from the console the msg_server.exe and disp+work.exe remaings <stopped>.

Can anyone please point me into the right direction to make a complete system restore of a full working SAP server to another <new> server ... thanks in advance.

check contents of files dev_w0, dev_disp and dev_ms
