System refresh

Hi,

I have refresh my QAS from PRD. Now database is up & R3trans -d is finished with returned code 000.

Now when i am trying to start sap with command startsap ,iam getting an error no start profiles found

:qasadm 53> R3trans -d
This is R3trans version 6.13 (release 640 - 10.07.07 - 13:48:00).
R3trans finished (0000).
:qasadm 54> startsap
no start profiles found
:qasadm 55>

I am working on SAP ECC 5 , with oracle DB & hp- unix .

As the message says itself, check the profile exist or not. try to start sap with profile name.

cd /sapmnt/SID/profile

startsap profilename

when i give command startsap qasmj than it start the sap.

Hi,

Please also check the entries in services file, entry in host file and also check the SWAP Space configured.

Please make sure that host and services files should have atleast 644 permissions.

Please check the permission of your profile directory.

make it full permission like $chmod 777 /usr/sap/SYS/profile

and check the owner for that directory.

I had the same problem.

The solution was very simple. I must switch of the firewall of the server.

Please varify that you have rename production profiles to Quality server profile(START_DVEBMGS<System number>_<hostname>).

If this is also ok, please try to fire the startsap command from /sapmnt/SID/profile directory with following way...

startsap pf=<START profile>
