Asset Depreciation Calaculation Problem

Dear Experts,

I have one issue..

Suppose I purchased on asset on 1st may 2009 Rs.100000/- Every month deprecitation is Rs.1000/-.

Ok Now i am running deprecitaion for month may system posting (April month Depreciation Rs.1000/- and May month Deprecition Rs.1000/-) Rs.2000.

I want the depreciation from the asset purchased date means from (1st may) i don't want april month in my scenario.

where can i set this. Please give inputs on this

it is deterimine by the depreciation key, check the period control for that depreciation key is 01 for acquistion

Check the depreciation start date. That should be set to May 1, 2009. Also check the depreciation key and the config for that.

in Asset master enter depreciation start date as May 1st
