SFDC technology interface - comments?

Anyone have any experience and comments related to the SFDC technology interface for DI? Just exploring it for a potential deployment, and looking for any opinions about it. How useful was it in opening up SFDC? Any issues with reliability of the connection? Sorry to be vague, but I'm just looking for a little insight.

It is certainly not the key functionality for DI however customers are using it. Typical problems are version dependancies, DI version x only supports SFDC versions y to z.

Anyway, is there an alternative method you would suggest for connecting to SFDC? This is for an Edge prospect, so if the SFDC connector isn't really the best option, I need to consider alternatives.

No, there is no alternative (to my knowledge). Otherwise we would have retired the connector already, these are a lot of work for us to maintain.

(just the two forums at least)
