BOM alert on sales order

Hi all,

We would like to be notified on the sales order if an item added is a BOM parent item so that we can check to see if there is enough quantity of the child items in stock..

Does SAP have a way to notify the user if they have added a BOM item that does not have enough child items in stock?

Hi Jane,

Do you mean your Sales BOM? For the production BOM, you don't need to check if there is enough quantity of the child items in stock. BOM parent on hand is enough to be checked.
