Hi Experts,

What is the use of Standard Network Usage ? Though system help says that we can create as per our requirement but I found this usage is common for PM / PP tasklist usage and Standard network usage.

Regards,

Vinodh.

Hi Vinodh,

it is similar as the routing in the PP area. It enable you to create a new network using the standard network as a template. For the assembly processing, I think, it is even mandatory, which you assign the standard network to a material. As soon as you create a sales order for this material, a operative network get created using the standard network.

Kind regards

Dear Vinodh,

You use the usage to assign Standard Networks to various work areas. Therefore you can create several Standard Networks with various usages for the Execution of project activities.

Standard Network is one of the "Task List Types" exist in R/3 system.

The following task list types exist in the R/3 System:

routing

reference operation set

rate routing

reference rate routing

inspection plan

maintenance task list

standard network

master recipe

Standard Network describes the worksteps necessary to produce a material or perform an activity without reference to an order.

Essential objects of a Standard Network are header, operations or activity, material component allocations, production resources/tools and inspection characteristics.

Together with specific dates and quantities, Standard Network data forms an important part of the order.

Hopes its useful.
