Hi Satish,

your requirement might already be covered if you use material type 'Pipeline material' That is a material that has a value but will not maintain stock levels. it is assumed ifinitely available like the tap water, therefore the name.

That would be a much leaner solution and closer to standard than the value article of the retail solution.

best regards, Udo

Hi,

Represents a group of articles whose inventory is to be managed on a value basis, but not on an article basis.

All goods movements for this group of articles are posted to the value-only article. The delivered price and sales price are updated, but not the stock quantity.

Inventory Management on a merchandise category basis is carried out on a value-only basis. The cost and retail values of a value-only article are known in the system. Usually there is no information on quantities.

You can be used in the following situations:

(a) No electronic scanner registers are in use in the stores.

(b) You wish to minimize the volume of data.

(c) You wish to minimize administration.

Article Type should be " WERT"

The categories of value-only article are:

(1) Hierarchy articles

(2) Merchandise category articles

(3) Group articles
