Hi Amarnath,

Try to check the ICM exception in the ICM trace log. Increase the trace to three and check the request call and the exception there. You will have the exact request, if there is not business information you could share it.

If this thread solution doesn't resolve your request i think it will be better to open a new thread but dont forget to share as much information as you have and all the threads and attempts that you have done yet.

Regards.

Hi monika,

Try this url.

/sap/xi/adapter_plain?namespace=<your namespace>&interface=<interface>&service=<Sender System>&qos=EO or EOIO.

not required actually.I have connected with a similar url to an internal machine

Hi Monika,

Make sure the HTTPS port and ip is blocked in your firewall.

Try this url https://<host>:<Httpsport>/sap/xi/adapter_plain in browser.

It should be connected to web application server.

Monica,

Try connecting system using ip address. One more thing host and service file on XI system should have entry of your target RFC system.

Hope this wull help,

Hi Nilesh

The ip will not be shared with us. They would share a url like abc.mycompany.in and have gi ven us a port which is HTTPS enabled. Any other configuration to be done for enabling HTTPS on our side?

Check if host file has this entry "abc.mycompany.i " on system hosting XI Server..

Thanks,

Hi Monika,

1. there usually is a additional part for this error (which specifiec the error code like 405 etc.)

2. did you check PI forum search by putting this error name - ICM_HTTP_INTERNAL_ERROR ?

did you find anything that was not working in your case?

as there are dozens of issues with ICM_HTTP_INTERNAL_ERROR error

answers on PI forum already

Hi Michal

Actually while clikcing on test connection itself i get this error. Yes before posting the question i searched the forum, unfortunately there are replies for

ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR. None on INTERNAL_ERROR. The trace of smicm says IcmConnInitClientSSL failed

Are you sure the path prefix is correct??

I think it should be /sap/XI/engine/?type=entry.

Hi,

Make sure sicf services for plain adapter is active. Go to /sap/xi/adapterplain.

Siddhesh:

/sap/XI/engine/?type=entry this the url for http posting to the integration engine.

Adding to the above thread in sicf under default host ==> SAP ==> XI ==> adapter plain.

When you double click check under log on tab. Probably u need to check the SSL option.

Thanks prakasu. This concept was not very clear to me.

Hi Monika,

While creating RFC, under Technical Settings try giving the ip address in field target host instead of host name. this may help to solve the ICM_HTTP_INTERNAL_ERROR.
