Hi All,

How we will handle the Table Control in BDC….

My requirement is …flat-file contains the One Header Line, more than 100 Line item. Like this flat file contain the 5 header lines.. Each header line contains more than 100 line items….

So for this I have to use Table Control…and one more question is When ever we are using table control it allows only 10 records, I want scroll down .. So How can we take care that…

Please Let me know the Answer ASAP…

Thanks and Regards

SReddy

Reddy,

Table controls are NOT easiest things to handle in a BDC. Are there no BAPI's available for what you are doing?

Which business object are you dealing with?

Hi,

When you create a table control without using a table control wizard the vertical scrollbar will not appear, only horizontal scrollbar appears by default.

Inorder to get the verical scrollbar you need to calculate the no.of line in the internal table that gets data from the flat file by using describe syntax. Then pass that value to one of the parameter-lines of the table control that you have created.

Code sample:

describe table t_leave lines lin.

tc2000-lines = lin.

Hope this helps you...

Thanks & Regards

Hi Reddy,

Do like this.

For the multiple line items of a header, You need to define one index varable and increment that varaiable in a loop. After wards U need to concatenate each line item.

Hope this logic helps.

hi

Use variable for table control

eg.

w_table = Concatenation 'table[' index ']-field'.

use that variable in BDC recording

eg 'SAP45A' w_table

hi

i have recently faced the same prob. i can explain u how to do this if u contact me at my cell 09322980203.

u will face a lot of prob while handling table control.

first u will have to generate scroll down code through recording. then put that at a proper positions whenever required. like that so many problems u will face.

by for now
