OER is Object Event Repository which is the latest incarnation of the SAP RFID Solution Suite
Please take the scenario --
There are 10 distibution centers of a company where RFID reads are recorded. There is one global central location that manages the above 10 DCs.
Now We will have SAP Auto ID as local installations which will take care of the 10 DCs reads and events and we will have one central OER to mange these 10 local locations.
OER = Central AII + Event management + Event Repository
Its based on the EPCGlobal EPCIS specification. its a standard that has come up on RFID.
