common delivery instructions for both the plants

hi,

sap gurus,

in sap system order and delivery instructions are genarated seperately for plants individually. 1000 and 2000.

but in our practice one delivery instruction will be created for two plants and basing on the truck availability and feasibility of practice and where ever stock is available they will supply from that plant.

for eg:

1000 kgs ordered --- 1000 kgs might be delivered by plant 1000 --- every time.

1000 kgs ordered --- 500 kgs might be delivered by plant 1000 and the remaining will be delivered by plant 2000.

i know that in SAP this functionality is not there, but provide me a way how to solve this issue.

Hi;

One way of doing it is splitting the order itself. Instead of 1000 units make it as 2 line items of 5 units each and change the plant at the item level. If you want to automate this process then i am afraid that we may need to make changes to the User exit and incorporate the change.
