Publishing in SPS13

Apparently, publishing from Visual Studio doesn't seem to work in SPS13. Publishing is supposed to deploy the sappage file(s) and portal components into a subdirectory "Content Created with PDK for .NET", but this subdirectory is never created on the portal. When you publish in Visual Studio it says "published" but it apparently only deploys the portal components and not the sappage file(s).

Has anyone experienced this or know of a way to work around it? Thanks! --Shibli

Hi Shibli,

Look in the "System requirements" section of the documentation of PDK 2.0 (development or installation guides), you need SP15 or higher...

Yes, I did check that out and it does list limitations with using the PDK 2.0 with versions lower than SPS15, but I don't believe inability to publish is listed.

Nonetheless, if I'm not mistaken, it appears to be a limitation that is not listed. So, hopefully, this will serve as useful information for others in the future.
