Mail to File Scenario

Hi All,

I am trying with Mail to File Scenario. I am getting following error in RWB:

exception caught during processing mail message; java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect

Please guide to solve this error.

check:

1) Receiver CC is properly configured and all the parameters entered are correct.

2) if your are mentioneing any port then check if it is able to pass the firewall restrictions..

Hi Ravi,

The server is up and running. I have few questions in configuring sender mail adapter.

- I am using POP3 as a message protocol. Under the URL parameter, i have given mail server URL. So how will it identify a specific mail account in the mail server?

- Do we need to do any settings in mail server to allow XI to pick mails?

Please guide me.

Hi,

Mark configure user authentication.Select authentication method plain.give user name as ur mail id and give password for your mail id.give the poll interval in min.

Chk the above for configuring Mail adapter

You need to provide authentication details for accessing mail box

Did you set URL as pop://serverName only right?

authentication method used is plain only...

if not set as above n chk

Hi,

Check with your system admin for mail server POP3 host name and port.If port is not a default port 25 you should give the url pop3://<server host>:<port>.
