BEx Query Designer terminates

Hi All,

I have a query which is created in Query Designer 3.5

I opened that query in the Query Designer 7.0

Now, when i try to view the existing formula variables, or even when i try to create a new formula variable, the Query Designer terminates with the error as "SAP BEx Query Designer Standalone has encountered a problem and needs to close".

The same formula variables can be viewed in Query Designer 3.5

I checked the same in different machines, and found the same problem everywhere. Hence it cannot be a machine level problem.

Also, i can view and create formula variables in other servers. It is a problem only in this server.

Please read the BW documentation and/or note 962530.

Main information:

If you change a 3.x stored query with 7.x QueryDesigner, you are NOT

able to edit the query with 3.x QueryDesigner anymore!

This blocking of the "7.x QueryDesigner" prevents this scenario.

Hi,

Once Bex 3.5 query is opened in Bex 7.0, you can't open the same query in Bex 3.5. If you are still able to open the query in Bex 3.5 means you have not opened it in Bex 7.0.

Please check it while opening a query in Bex 7.0. It would ask you question " Do you want open bex 3.5 query in Bex 7.0?
