Integrated Planning Key Dates

There are settings for key dates now in the Integrated Planning settings for Real Time InfoProviders and also in filters.

I'm looking for a good business example as to how this feature could be used???

The documentation says 'All objects that depend on the key date, such as the filter or hierarchies that are used in the filter or in the from and to values of the copy and distribution functions can be set to the standard key date.'

There is also a delivered variable '0plandat' that can be used to keep all objects in sync, however it is not accepted in the 'variable' option???

Hi Tim,

the standard business case is "planning based with future master data" (vs. current master data). In this case the key date should match the period you are planning for.
