Results recording

Kindly advise me from your past experiences which transaction is preferred for results recording, QE51N or through QA32 getting in QE11 for RR.

If we go through QA32, it is user friendly and has the advantage of attaching inspection plans when more than one for a material are available, which we can't do in QE51N. Since lots with CRTD are not visible in QE51N.

So can anybody advise me on why SAP suggests QE51N for results recording?

Both QA32 and QE51N are equally good and it always depends on inspection type the user is using for result recording. I personaly find QA32 more user freindly, as you said it has option for assignement of inspection plan, result print out, defect recording.

1) But if your doing a equipment calibration you will find it difficult to find the equipment no in QA32 but it is available in QE51N

2) Inspection point result recording is more streamlined in QE51N as you can readily see the inspection points details at one shot

3) If you have 2 or more operation QE51N can take you one operation after another automaticaly which is not possible in QA32.

But does it have any future impacts, like once I learnt somewhere that SAP support will be only for enjoy transactions (if there is an option) in coming years.

Although i'll be using QA32, i'm just clarifying for academic purposes.
