Is it possible to export universe that built in BOBJ 6.5.1 to BOBJ XI Ent?

Hi All,

is it possible if I export the universe that built on BOBJ version 6XX to BOBJ XI enterprise 3.0/3,1 ?

How ? Do i must setup all the connection in BOBJ XI enterprise version 3.0/3.1?

Hi Denny,

you can use the ImportWizard (BO XI 3.x) to import universes (incl. connections) from your 6.5 to your XI 3.x system. The BOBJ connection definition will also be imported, still you must install and configure the related DB driver on your BOBJ XI 3.x server in order to use your universe to get data in BO XI 3.x.

Do I just import it first then i configure the database. or what ?

Hi,

theoretically you can go either way, but I would setup the oracle driver on the bobj server first.

Is any details issue regarding import universe (BO 6.5) to BOXI 3.0 ? How to to copy the repository (BO 6.5) ? I would like making some testing first.
