Hi Community,
Currently, a WPC index indexes only the webpages; it doesnu2019t index the documents placed in Site Content folder (or for that matter any folder) of WPC.
Is there a way for indexing the content in WPC folders; so that all the documents pertaining to a site can be stored in Site Content folder of the respective site instead of storing them in KM.
Regards,
JK
The entire content of WPC is kept in Portal's KM only . You can index those documents, the way you would index normal KM documents

Hi,
Thanx for your responce.
A point to note here is, I have already created a WPC index for my site, which searches only the WPC webpages.
Now, when I try to create a new KM index for the same site, a portal error: The folder is already attached to another index of the same type: <WPC index Name> is occuring.
Details of the WPC index:
Crawler Parameters : wpc
Service :Trex Search
Service Type:Search
contentUrlProp : wpc:wpc_wcm_trex_url

Hi Folks,
Actually the WPC Index for the site should also search for .txt or .html or .doc files; but its searching only the .xml files.
However in crawler.info.txt file, I can see .txt and .html files are listed, which means they are indexed properly.
So the problem can be in the search function I am using.
code:
SearchQueryListBuilder sqb = new SearchQueryListBuilder();
sqb.setSearchTerm("Search Term");
sqb.setSelectedItems(SearchParamConst.ITEM_ALL); // to search in all documents
IQueryEntryList qel = sqb.buildSearchQueryList();
ISearchSession session = federatedSearch.searchWithSession(qel, indexList, getResourceContext()); //indexList contains the WPC Index
ISearchResultList results = session.getSearchResults();
Am I missing anything here?
Regards,
JK

Hi
The Web contents of WPC are stored under /entrypoint in KM. you can check that to get the content for indexing.
