Hi Experts,

In Vendor Master Excise details there is a field "Type of Vendor", In what way it effects the excise duty determination.Does this field is mandatory for excise duty?

It is not mandatory. It is used for excise returns like ER1. In the format of the return, type of vendor is required.

Do you mean to say the Excise Rate is not dependent on "Type of Vendor ".
