Please advice.
Zinni
Hi,
PLM is collection of solutions with which you can create and maintain data information.
PLM combines the management of project data ,process data and product data with other applications.
Now there are various product life cycle stages and in every stage different applications / modules works
for example
1.Product definition = SAP xPD , cProjects
2.Product development = SAP Recipe management
3.Product data management = DMS, ECM , QM
4.ERP = SAP 6.0
5.Product service = SAP Service management
6.Product Obsolescence = SAP ECC 6.0
so you can start practicing satge wise.
Thanks
Vinay

Hi Zinni ,
As you are telling that you are starting the pracice of SAP Functional modules,
SAP PLM also contains many functional modules. Specifically
PLM in the sense you will be getting aquianted more with SAP QM , Classification concept and Variant Configuration concept. So these PLM concepts are supporting the functional modules .
Example: Variant config and Classification supports much of the SD/PP modules wherever there is a variance in the products . so as you are learning Functional Modules , in the same way navigate the QM , classification and Variant configuration you can easily learn all the concepts.
Thanks

Hi Zinni,
If you are having R/3 access, you can start with SAP QM, PM, PS and DMS, ECM. Rest of the PLM applications needs few add-on components to be installed.
