Hello @ all,

I try to open a BW URL from Web Dynpro. My Scenario is as following: The Web AS Java is inside a DMZ, but the BW Server behind the firewall. The necessary ports of the bw system are open. I try to open the BW Template via a LinkToUrl with following URL:http://host:port/sap/bw/BEx?sap-language=DE&bsplanguage=DE&CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=TTI. But when I execute the LinkToUrl, I get a error that the page could not be displayed. How should I call this link, so that the Web Template could be displayed?

Hi,

Can you run the template directly from the browser? Also when the error page loads, what is the URL of this page. From the context menu check the properties of this page and see if the URL is proper.

Hello Satyajit,

when I start the page from WAD, then the page is displayed correctly. How can I display a Web Template, if its run on a different WAS, then WAS Java?

Hello Mehmet,

you call it via a URL as you have done.

http://<BW system>:<port>/sap/bw/BEx?CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=ID. So that's correct.

By the way, what happens if you take this URL and paste it on your browser's address bar?

Can you check what's the URL of the error page. Try viewing the properties of this page.

Regards,

Satyajit.

It happens the same. I get a error page. The Web Template runs on a server thats behind the firewall.

Ok, can you try using the IP address of this BI server. The IP address must be a fully registered IP address (internet address).
