Hello,
We are trying to configure LDAP authentication on BOXI 3.1.
Our CMS is on Linux and using Active Directory users.
After completion of the LDAP wizard it errors out as " Plugin Manager error: Unable to locate the requested plugin secWinAD on the server. (FWB 00006) ".
We have made sure that the LDAP information provided is correct but not sure what the plugin error is about?
Do we need to have any plugin registered in linux OS since we are able to configure LDAP authentication on our windows box with the same LDAP information?
Please help!!!
Thanks...
Hey, We got this same configuration to work if you want help. Basically, what you have to do is select LDAP and then for LDAP type select Custom. Click the button to show attribute mappings and change the username to be the sAMAccountName and user full name to be the cn. Other than that, just walk through the steps, ie for your distinguised name type it in lower case in the format: dc=XXXX, etc.
Also, what database is your CMS on?

I have no idea why you would get "Unable to locate the requested plugin secWinAD" on a linux/unix install since the AD plugin shouldn't be installed on "nix" and especially since you said you were using the LDAP plugin???
Maybe an environment variable is missing/incorrect. You can try opening a case with support and let an engineer take a look at what's going on.
