Lost data on a PDA after the battery gets down

Hi! Experts

We are working with the PSION TEKLOGIX WORKABOUTPRO PDA and Windows CE 4.2

We are lossing DATA because of the Battery. It happens when the battery gets down.

Can any one tell me what can be a solution in order to never get lost DATA.

You can solve your problem by using IBM DB2e 9.12 database and follow the steps mentioned in SAP note 1249964.

Hello All,

Sorry for the goof up. I enquired with the product team responsible for Mobile and they informed that this note is under evaluation and there are certain technical difficulties in releasing the note in the current form. At the moment, they have no specific timelines as to when this note will be released to customers.

Apologies from my end once again.

@Xiomara: Until this note is released, i see no other solution to your problem unless you use WM 5.0 or higher versions where the data is not lost even if battery drains out or you have to adopt the method told by Dilip which is costlier w.r.t I/O performance.

Hi,

You can store the data on the SD card attached to the mobile device. But the drawback will be that the application will be slow as the I/O from SD card is slow.

Are you using a standard SAP application or a custom application?
