Hi All,
I have configured your Sender CC to archive the faulty files in an archive folder (Using File FTP adapter), but the files are not getting archived in the directory and it doesnot allow further files to get processing. So I need to move these file to archive dirctory if it is a errored file.
My Source directory path is
Input\
Server XX.XX.XX.XX
How should I need to provide the path under processing tab i.e for Archiving faulty source files
Sould it just be
Archive\
or should it be ftp:
XX.XX.XX.XX\Archive
As nothing is working for me.
Also Please confirm whether the windows FTP allow the files to be within the fto ftp server(ie within different folder of the same ftp server runtime). As Manually when I tried to copy the file from one folder within the ftp to another folder it is not getting copied. Will this be the cause. I am not even getting any error message in the communication channel for archiving.

Hi,
Check MessageTransformBean is added in the communication channel.

Hi,
If the sender communication channel error archive activated then you should give the AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean in the communication channel and add the parameter Transform.PermanentErrors true.

Prakashu,
What is the need for the messagetransformbean here?
Nitya,
you will define the archive folder as you have defined the input folder.
Lets say you input folder is defined as /input and your archive directories path is input -> archive, the path will be /input/archive
agreed on that
Nitya,

Hi Shabarish,
I already made the necessary folder configuration like that only. But Still I am getting the error.
I trying this with FILE-RFC scenario, For this testing purpose I have made modifications to my XML structure where a tag name is given as
<VALID_FROM>30.04.2009</VALID_FROM_Date>
Which can happen, so my scenario is failing at the sender CC itself and it shows an error message as
"Error: com.sap.aii.af.service.util.transaction.api.TxManagerException: Unable to roll back transaction: com.sap.engine.services.ts.exceptions.BaseIllegalStateException"
"Error: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Application:EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE:"
File is not getting moved from my Input directory to archive directory, when this happens and it resides in the input directory itself. Because of this the successful files received after this error are also not getting processed and those also remains in the input directory. Only if i manually delete the error file other files are getting processed.
Also note that, I cant even copy or cut paste the file within two folder in the same FTP server. Will there be any authorization issues on the FTP server, but I am able to cut/copy paste from my local machine to ftp server.

Nithiyanandam

I assume the tag change what you did is to your input file to make the file fail in the adapter. Right?

The file adapter provides the option of archiving error files. I am sure you must have done the configuration as per the suggestions in the above replies of this thread. Did you also include the messagetransformbean to force the archiving of the error files?
u25CF Archive Source Files with Errors
To archive source files where a permanent error occurred during processing, set the indicator.
A permanent error occurs either during the conversion of the file content, or in a module in the module processor.
More information: Structure link MessageTransformBean, Migrating Dispatcher Classes
u25CB Specify the Directory for Error Archiving.
u25CB To add a time stamp to the archived file, select Add Time Stamp.
Now also confirm that the user id being used in the file adapter for the FTP has proper rights to move the file to different folder (in your case the archive folder). Also confirm if the path provided by you is correct.
Hi,
Try to give the Archiving path as:- /Foldername/Subfoldername
if there is no any subfoldername then Archiving path is: /Foldername only.
Do not forget to select the option 'Archive Files on FTP server' in Processing Tab itself.
Also make sure for the Create/Write/append rights for the Archiving folder.

Jagesh
