Dear all,
Is it possible to track the changes in information entered in charecteristic of class of equipment.
like, how many times it has been changed and what was the old values?
is there any standerd Tcode?
Hi
You can see this in your equipment transaction -IE02/03
Go to class overview
From the menu, you can see Change Documents under Environment

Hi,
If the 'Environment - Change documents' is greyed out then you have not set change documents in customizing. This can be done with transaction O1CL, select tabel EQUI.
You will need to see note [80907|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/80907] about running RCCLUKA2 and also note [65124|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/65124].

Try the following on a test system:
Run program RCCLUKA2 via SE38 for class type 002/Equipment
Run transaction O1CL
Highlite the line with EQUI/Equipment
Double-click on Class types (on the left under Dialog Structure)
Switch on flag for 'Multiple classification' and 'Change Docs'
Double click on Objects (on the left under Dialog Structure)
Switch on flag for 'Chg Docs for Class'
SAVE
From IE02, select class overview
The path Environment - Change Documents should now be available
Change your classification data and save equipment before actual change documents will be available.

Hi,
Might be worth saving after step 1 then run O1CL again and do step 2.
-Step 1-
Run transaction O1CL
Highlite the line with EQUI/Equipment
Double-click on Class types (on the left under Dialog Structure)
Switch on flag for 'Multiple classification' and 'Change Docs'
SAVE
-Step 2-
Run transaction O1CL
Highlite the line with EQUI/Equipment
Double click on Objects (on the left under Dialog Structure)
Switch on flag for 'Chg Docs for Class'
SAVE

Hi,
Can you see class type as 002 when you double click on class type. After selecting EQUI object type row when you double click on class type this class type 002 should appear. And here against this 002 you are setting change doc indicator.
Also check if in configuration for equipment category(for equipments you use) you have set indicator change document(column with C activated). If this is not then also you will have problem. In addition check other column (CC) for creating change doc for newly created objects whether it is set.If this is set then for newly created equipment change docs will be written.

I have done all the settings as all you people guide me. Lots of thanks for it,
System has taken change document number for class charectoristic value automatically 51326, but i am not able to undersatand from where system has taken this range? as i have not given any no. range
How can give the number ranges for
1.Class characteristic value change documents
2.Equipment change docs
And also how can i see this change document number list and its changes value (which i can see in individual equipment (IE02) display change docs.) for maximum number of equipments?
Hi,
Characteristic value and other clasiification changes can be tracked through change documents. In default they are not activated and you need to activate them explicitly.Unless you activate it for required object type(your case EQUI for equipments) you can't see changes through menu screen.
Path is cross application component>classification system>classes-->maintain object type and class type.
Here you need to select row with EQUI and then goto class type. Then in classification subscreen activate "Change Docs".

Hi
Check in CT10
If u have maintained any change no - (Changes done in master record) can be displayed...
If you make a change with reference to a change number, or create an object with a change number, the following functions are at your disposal:
The system determines the validity conditions
The conditions that the change is effective under can be defined in the change master record as follows:
Changes with a date validity (valid-from date)
Changes with parameter effectivity (for example: serial no. effectivity)
Log of the changes made
Documentation of the changes
Assignment of a revision level to a change state of a material or document
Release of changes for the different areas in the company
Check it out
