Hi,
You can see it from SM51 and RZ03 and logon to Sm51 and central instance is looks like DVEBMGS00 and dailog instace is D00
Message server identifys the least loaded server either central or dialog in you.r case

If you can't see the instance in SM51 then simply is not started or is not properly installed/configured.

I didn't undestand this?...
Anyhow., read the logs and you'll find your answer.

thanks all of you.
the sap system is installed in linux 64 bit.
when I use command "startsap", message says:
starting sap instance DVEBMGS00
instance on host saps01 started
IGS on host saps01 started
starting sap instance D10
instance on host saps01 started
IGS on host saps01 started
I have read the start log of D10, but there is no error .
I check in RZ03 or SM51, there is only one record:
Server Names Host Name Type
saps01_s01_00 saps01 Dialog Update Enqueue Background Spool Upd2 ....
*** 1 active servers ***
In SAPGUI, System ID is input as "D10", System number is input as "00",I can logon successfully. If it means the dialog instance is installed properly? I don't know if I need to configure, how to configure it?
tons of thanks.

Hi,
You can see the Central and Dia Instances in SM51 also in RZ03.
The relation between Message server and the instances is.
Message server will see which instance is having less load and will assign the process to less loaded instance.
So Message server will sit 1st then comes the instances.
So you can call message servers as a work distributor.

Hi
You need to check if the instance you're trying to connect to ,has registered itself with the message server, you may use test connection utility in SMMS to do so.
Try it and update the thread.
