Hi

In LO I need to delete and Re-fill the Setup tables,for that do i need to stop V3 collector job in SAP R/3 ?.

Please advice.

Hi Sai,

1. To delete setup table, you need not to stop any thing

2. To refill ( though I am not sure of purpose) - you need to make sure

1. you take every thing delta from R/3 to BW - delta queues are empty

2. Need to stop transactions at R/3 side

3. Need to make sure no V3 jobs are scheduled at the time setup is running

4. Run set up

last but not the least search this form "Setup tables" & take care of every thing suggested by Gurus.

Hello Sai,

To answer ur specific question: no you need not stop the v3 for just doing that or in other words, you can delte the setup tables without stopping v3.

you want to delete and re-fill set up tables?? does that mean you are planning to do a re-init again?

you can pull in the deltas in the delta queues by scheduling a delta in bw. but if u re-init the bw load again, then anyways these delta requests have to be delted and you have to reset the cube again. for this, you need to delte the setup, refill them and schedule a init in bw. BUT STOP V3 BEFORE THIS.

once the init is done in bw, u can schedule the v3 and then start the deltas in bw.
