Mass upload

Dear Experts,

We have nearly some 5000 equipments for which we maintained the counter reading maintained in excel sheets . Now we want to upload all data to SAP . All equipment master datas are already created . How to carryout this mass uplaod job?

Also you can record a CATT script for this as an alternate to LSMW

Hi,

For the counter reading make the Entry list IK31 for the multiple equipment & update the counter reading for the multiple equipment in this transaction.

Is it possible to enter some 5000 entries through IW31 or CATT ?

Will LSMW or BDC be a better option ?

LSMW is the better option. SAP has provided standard objects for measurement points & documents

Create Measurement Points for all your equipments

Use standard Object 0425 to first create MPs for all your equipments

Once created, use the MPoints to create measurement documents.

There is a standard Object 0430 to create measurement documents against the measurement points
