Scheduling of products

Hi ,

I am rephrasing the planning scenario .Example a fruit drink making company.They pack mango,apple and pineapple fruit dinks in 200 ml and 500ml packs.

To minimize the setup time it is ideal to pack 200ml mango,apple and pinapple packs first and then switch to 500 ml packs.

The PIR is monthly .The problem is now how can the system club all the planned orders(i.e for all diff products) of 200 ml packs and 500ml packs respectively.

This can be handled in APO thru optimer , but how can this be handled thru MRP .

Any ideas will be most valuable.

Hi,

Do you need single planned order for all 200ml pack of all products or you want different planned orders for every 200ml pack product?

If you need different planned orders for first 200ml of product then make a product goup named as 200ml and assign all 200ml products as a members in PG and then run MD02 at product group level.

And put "2" in individual/collective tab in MRP view.
