Hello,
Is there any methods to transport the service registry content fron the Dev server to QA server.
(something on the lines of file transport mechanism for PI objects)
regards,
Hari
Hi,

don't believe so as in theory you should have one central SR for all systems, landscapes (you can classify them according to source system, etc)
so in a way it's similar to one central SLD

Hi Michal,
We currently have the Service Registry on our dev server. If we are exposing our interfaces in dev server as a web service and publishing in SR, the end point URL will point to dev server. Once the object moves to QA, would we need to publish the webservice again. Also, I am curious to know how would it be handled in case of an external web service?

Hi,
Check this link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce711/helpdata/en/48/568377708131c3e10000000a42189d/frameset.htm
It talks about a concept called publishing rules.
In the publishing rules, you can specify the wsdls that you want to publish.
In your case, once you transport the objects from your DEV to QA, you regenerate the wsdls in the QA box and give the wsdl URL in the publishing rules and activate the same.

Hi Hari,
Currently such a functionality is not given because configuring of SR is a one time activity and moreover since its a administration activity SAP would like to give more control and flexibility but then its come at the cost of extra effort.
