Installing SLD and PI7.0 steps

Hi Experts,

I want to know following points.

1) How and when do we install SLD ? Do we install it before actual PI installation or it is installed automatically when we install XI

2) Can someone please write down all the steps (very brief) which we should follow to install complete SAP PI system from scratch including SLD, Java and ABAP parts.

I did not find any SLD installation guide. I have already read XI installation guide

It will be great if atleast someone can tell me steps to setup SLD from scratch.

as a good practice you need to have a minimum number of SLDs in your landscape

you can have a separate SLD for your XI/PI

XI is dependent on SLD.....SLD is independent whether XI is there in the landscape or not...

You can separately install SLD and then establish the connection to your XI system

Hi Kulwinder,

SLD will be installed whenever you select the option for PI from the installation DVD. It is a part of the Netweaver package.
